Welcome to Mainally Cattery!

Mainally Cattery began with a love for this gentle giant of the domestic feline world. Our first Maine Coon was a huge brown classic tabby female named Ally. The "Main" in our Cattery name is for Maine Coon and the "Ally" is for our wonderful big girl. We have been truly captivated by this wonderful loving breed.

Mainally is a very small cattery located in central Maryland. Our cats have the run of the house and are never caged. We are their cooks, servants, and their source of entertainment. All our cats are handled and played with daily to ensure they have plenty of exercise and attention.

We are dedicated to breeding the healthiest, well-socialized, and highest quality kittens possible. We show our cats in the Cat Fanciers Association (CFA) and The International Cat Association (TICA). Maine Coons come in a variety of colors but we absolutely love the reds and browns so we concentrate on those colors.

All our cats are FeLV and FIV negative. Our breeding cats have been scanned for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) with a doppler ultrasound performed by a licensed veterinary cardiologist and have been deemed to have healthy hearts and are clear for breeding. Our kittens are vaccinated and have been seen by our veterinarian and come with a written health guarantee from our veterinarian before leaving our home. Our contract states each kitten must be altered, never allowed outdoors, and NEVER declawed. All our kittens are sold as pets only.

What we love about our Maine Coons is the sweet nature and individual personalities of each. For such large cats they have this tiny little meow that is so endearing and they also make this chirping and chortling sound that is their way of talking. They let me know at 5:30 a.m. that they are hungry…but wait, I never get up that early anymore! I guess they forgot. Our cats love to get on our laps and make those special biscuits that only cats can do.

From time to time we have retired breeding cats available to approved loving homes. These cats are very special to us and we want them to live the rest of their lives in contentment.

We hope you enjoy our site and keep coming back to look for pictures of our kittens!
